Debenhams Flowers

Options
Hi all,

Not sure if I have posted this thread in the right forum apologies if it is.

I ordered some flowers for my mum birthday and just got them today they are wilted and look dead already, colour don't seem the same as the ones shown on the site are vibrant the ones I have barely have any colour. I complained to Debenhams Flowers and sent them pictures and all they stated was that they are the correct ones. I am so annoyed ruined my mum birthday surprise and now will have to go and purchase another bouquet.

Has anyone similar problems with them too ? any other advice would be appreciated, so annoyed with them

Thanks
Kay

What exactly did you complain about?

That they are wilted and look dead or that you don't feel they are the same as the ones on the website?

When you made your complain did you ask for a remedy (either replacement flowers or a refund)?

I complained about the fact they were wilted and looked dead and also mentioned how the appearance was different to the ones on the website. I did not ask for a remedy as I thought once they saw the pictures I emailed to them it is obvious and they would have then offered a replacement or refund. I am not sure what my rights are in this situation therefore did not make a request for refund.

Go back to them again. Who did you email? Try escalating your complaint. Say that under the SOGA goods must be of satisfactory quality and wilted flowers don't constitute 'satisfactory'. As a repair isn't possible and you've already replaced them yourself, ask for a refund. Don't accept their first response. Keep on at them. Have they got a social media presence like twitter or facebook? If they still refuse to refund you, complain publicly on there.

As Fluffnutter says, go back to them, say you were dissatisfied with the quality and that you would like a refund.

It's always best, IMO, when you complain to tell the company to whom you are complaining exactly what you expect them to do. As the flowers were a gift, one assumes a replacement bouquet would be inappropriate so that's why I advise you request a refund.
