This is another form of abuse of a police officer:

Except it isnt , if you read the `article` properlyNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -
If you don't want to be walking past his bins in the summer because of flies etc.
He wont want the same thing under his window.
Cant you just move the bin further away.
Job done.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
kelpie - thanks
The problem is that we do close our bin quietly.
How can we "stop doing something" if we are not doing it in the first place? This comes down to his complete irrational approach to everything.
The moving house thing is not an immediate thing so I'd like to concentrate on getting this sorted rather than hope it goes away/won't have to worry for too long because we are moving
So if I move the bin back to his land/right up to his gate and he moves it back or comes round f-ing and all aggressive, where do I go from there?
OP, the responders are trying to politely suggest to you that having a dispute recorded with your neighbour can seriously reduce the opportunity of you selling your house.0 -
I would write him a letter asking him to move his bin out of your alleyway, and as an amicable solution, you will move your bin away from his window.0
