    Yes I know. But he went on to say
    Argos for me next time, no hoops to jump through, no sneaky (buy that I mean buried in the small print) conditions and speedy resolutions.

    .. implying that Argos would have covered this particular problem when their T&Cs explicitly exclude software faults. So I assume he didn't read them.

    Anyway, all's well that ends well and a replacement tablet is on its way, hopefully with !!!!!! already installed.
