  • Grey and dank here as well, it really makes me feel bleargh when the weather is like this.

Have had so many doctors, hospital and clinic appointments this month I haven't had time to post much, but I have been reading.

Not much doing today apart from sorting out the kitchen cupboards and giving them a good scrub (DD did the bottom cupboards for me ;)), everything is back all neat and tidy and I can find things a lot easier now :D

DH is doing the oven at the weekend, which really needs it

We are then going to redecorate the whole house, starting with the bathroom :D

We are having chicken and mushroom bake tonight,
Chicken thighs boned and chopped with sliced salad potatoes, quartered mushrooms, and sliced red pepper in a garlicy mushroom sauce, sprinkled with breadcrumbs. served with broccoli, luverly jubley.

  • Afternoon, was out this morning. Need a quick visit to the council so they can take more money off our HB. OH got a rise in one of his pensions 99p!! was it worth it I ask myself. Dropped OH at the library and went on to Morrisons and back home.

Baked a ring of scone so we have something to have with out afternoon tea. OH is off for his sieata, I have a hot water bottle, fleece and my book, so will corrie down on the settee for a while.

Meatball in tomato sauce on the stove, will have them with spaghetti tonight.
  • Good afternoon everyone.

A very grey dull day here today. I haven't posted lately as I don't usually get to sit down much before 9pm but this is a rare occasion. Just having a cuppa after work, before I go and pick up DD from school. Glad we are off next week so no school runs. She is old enough to travel on her own, the problem being that the school she picked is so far from our house it takes 2 buses and at least an hour, while of course mum can do the whole round trip in 40 minutes:)

She is 17 in May, so will get her driving lessons, and a car hopefully, then she can do it herself:D

Car has its MOT this afternoon, so fingers crossed no expense needed.

Probably going to do a fish pie for tea tonight. BB that chicken recipe sounds yummy, I think I will have to try that out sometime soon.

Just some washing and ironing to do later and must clean the bathrooms. Have a good evening everyone.:)

Judi, I share your pain, I bumped into a friend of DS yesterday who proceeded to tell me all about a fire DS was called out to that included exploding gas cylinders, aargh!
BBird, there will be a house up for sale near you soon.

  • Afternoon all,

Feeling a bit knackered now and having a sit down. Did the before school club at school then helped build den's in the woods with one of the classes (lots of lugging bit of dead tree trunks/branches about) then did my lunchtime stint. Must admit I'm not used to standing up for almost seven hours straight!

    Chicken something for dinner tonight.
