Eon Tariff Removed before Deadline!
Spent a long time today looking at various tariffs and finally decided to go with Eon that would save me about £450, got halfway through the switch and it disappeared from the switching company I was using. I then tried to do it through Eon and they had put a meassage up stating (Due to essential Maintenance work, page unavailable)
This was the last day of this tariff.
Sent complaints in to company, not sure if I'll get a favourable response.

The last day of the Eon tariff was Feb 10, you posted this message saying "today" on Feb 11th.
I would not think it unreasonable if they removed it at anytime after the end of the working day, so after about 5:30 pm.
Don't leave things to the last minute and then expect to blame someone else IMO!Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -
That's what I would have said as wellNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Good morning Brax,
I'm sorry you've been disappointed.
It does sound like you've tried to switch to the version 15 when the tariff was being removed from the website page, this is why it will have been unavailable.
We did have a message on the website to say when the tariff was ending, to try and avoid things like this.
There is a new tariff in it's place though, so have a look at that to see how it compares.
I'm sorry again.

E.oN - you have a problem with your website. When I request a quote, your website asks for projected consumption in kWhs and then defaults to 3,200kWhs for electricity and 13,200kWhs for gas giving me a monthly DD increase of £14 per month. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Good morning Hengus,
Really it's best to start a new thread with new questions, otherwise things can get missed.
I'll try and answer here for you.
I know you're in the process of switching to us, one is live and one pending.
How are you doing the quote? Is your account fully live now? If so are you logging on to do it and doing a best deal for you quote?
Are you trying to view version 16?
I think it will probably be best to have a word with our online guys, they'll need to know some more info first though, like the questions I asked.
I can get you in contact with them if you'd like me to, or you can just give them a ring.

Good morning Helena. Forgive me, but I do know how to use a comparison site and a spreadsheet. As you suggested to the OP that he should compare his tariff with v16, I have also done so. In my case, it would result in a significant increase (over £161 pa - because of the increase shown in unit costs for electricity and gas). I assume that the prices on comparison sites such as WhichSwitch etc are inputted electronically from your site?
WhichSwitch and other sites are showing that when comparing v14 to v16 - the price per kWh for electricity has risen from 11.025p to 13.713p and for gas from 3.102p to 4.039p. I have no wish whatsoever to speak to your online guys about this issue, as I have spent more than enough of my time speaking to your colleagues over the past few days!
For my part, as you ask, my 'Your Account' is not yet live and unlikely to be so for 32 days. I am just waiting for confirmation by e-mail that my switch has gone through before I switch my energy contract to another supplier. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I'm really sorry Hengus, I've obviously misunderstood because I thought you were putting your details in our website and the figures were defaulting, that's why I said to contact the online guys.
I didn't know you were doing this through a comparison site.
Version 16 possibly is more expensive for some, I agree.
I'm sorry you want to switch away.

Sorry, I was working on the quote on the 10th and applied well before the deadline on the 10th. Wrote the message at about 1:30 in the morning of the 11th.0
