I am with BT, (boooo i hear you say). To be honest up until recently things have been 'ok'. I am a single mother, I lost my husband only a few months ago (he was killed in a motorcycle accident), so I needed to change my tariff and cut down some costs. I contacted BT in Oct 2014 to discuss changing my package and saving me money. Eventually, a package was put together that suited me really well, with a monthly payment of £47.14 after the price increase at the beginning of Dec. I agreed to this, and looked forward to having cheaper bills each month. I was told that the first bill may be slightly higher as it will be a bit of the old package and a bit of the new package. However, to cut a long story short, surprise surprise im not paying the amount I was told and agreed to over the phone. My monthly charges are now £51.54. I have tried to query this and just get told that that price is correct following the price increases at the beginning of Dec. My arguement is, I was told a price after the increases, and that is not what I am paying. Again all I get told is, 'im sorry but the price you are being charged is correct'.....but it isn't!!!. I have asked for the phone call to be listened to, where the advisor clearly states what I will be paying AFTER the price increase, im presuming that this hasn't been done. My complaint has been escalated (BT's words) to a supervisor. I have had a response from the said supervisor, and in her email to me, she mentions nothing of the conversation I had with the previous advisor in Oct 2014.......as I am typing this, I am currently on a 'chat session' with someone else now.......what I would like to know is, do I have the right to demand that I pay what I was told. Not happy at all

BT seem to be getting up to lots of these tricks lately. Makes you wonder doesn't it? I guess they have to pay for BT Sport somehow.0

I bet you agreed the deal with BT after they announced the price rise but before it was implemented.
You should have received an email/letter telling you about the increase and giving you the opportunity the cancel your contract and leave. I know I did."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
