HP Promotions and Ebuyer

First of all let me make it clear than my "grouse" is with HP NOT ebuyer.

Start of October I purchased a HP laptop through ebuyer with the promise of £50 back within 60 days of purchase. All conditions were met and received confirmation of such from HP. As it is now over 120 you can guess where this query is going!

Has anyone actually received the money? I have had numerous e-mails explaining, getting more ridiculous as they progress. Todays is that they are having technical difficulties in refunding the money and not to contact customer service as they will be unable to help. Is this code for - "we haven't got the money" ??

  • My understanding was that a lot of these 'cashback' deals are run through companies not affiliated with HP. I suspect that the customer services people wouldn't have any sort of idea of what is going on. You probably need to contact the corporate side of the company.

You could always try the managing director

I can't post the link as I'm a newbie but it's under the contact us bit for the company website for the uk.

I've had delays in cashback deals but not to the extent you have.
  • The irony of course is that, as soon as I posted this, within twelve hours HP has fixed their technical difficulties.
