A little help please with N Crowd

Options
Hi, Not sure if I have a leg to stand on but wanted to share to prevent others falling for this deal.
Found an offer for a spa for two on N Crowd and purchased, very big brand so thought it would be safe, voucher delivered and the link sent me to Activity superstore but the code would not work, as it was Saturday nobody was open to talk to so emailed and called yesterday when they were open. Activity store had no record of me and the voucher code did not exist so sent me back to N Crowd, emailed them again and they replied to say the voucher had been credited and cancelled, I asked why as I just wanted a code that worked but they said the merchant no longer was offering he deal, I protested as the same deal is still on both N Crowd and Activity Superstore website. They haven't explained so asked for my money back and they advised I was only entitled to store credit...any suggestions as I can see it was purchased by people after me as the number increased and it still isn't removed. Does anyone know if I have to take the credit as I could purchase the deal elsewhere if they would refund my money? Please help as they just keep saying it is in the terms and conditions that they can do this but they seem to differ on local deals and national deals?

If they arent willing to offer what was originally agreed, they should be offering a refund rather than credit.

Any term allowing them to do so would be at risk of being an unfair term (assuming they're a UK company) as it has the effect of binding the consumer while allowing the supplier to unilaterally alter the terms of the contract - and if a contract is to remain fair/balanced/enforceable then it must be equally binding on both parties.

Well I have emailed N Crowd today and copied in Activity Superstore and the Spa which is The Belfry which is part of De vere I believe. Just to see if anyone can explain why it is still being offered and help me. N Crowd aren't moving and I wondered if I had any justification in contacting my bank to try to refund my debit card if they can't provide this service? One thing I did notice was Activity superstore are advertising for £10 more so could this be an admin error an the company's way of covering this up?

Result, just had an email telling me that they have now reviewed my case and indeed I am entitled to have my card refunded, thank you to the helpful person who replied and all of you who previously posted who inspired this generally quiet lady to fight for my rights.

Yes, speak to your bank about a chargeback.
