    Today, received the sixpence for the xmas pud + recipe card from Royal Mint.
    I know they don't make sixpences now but it's a really scruffy one , 1946 King George!!! I expected a nice shiney one!!

    Hi. no I did not test the shaver.
    I would send it back when they send out the envelope. Hopefully you will not get it!
    Then I would not want to be on a bad list or struck off for not obeying orders.

    I got a sixpence too. Mine is 1914. I love the fact its old and got history. I wonder how many christmas puddings its been in before mine?!

    They would have used silver 3d pieces in the 1900's rather than 6d. I still have a number of silver 3d pieces that go in our puddings - one year my brother managed to swallow his one!
