Hi all,
I am finally debt free after years of stress and worry. I will admit to being a bit stupid with credit in the past but that was then and this is a fresh start. My 12 month period after doing a debt relief order ended last friday and i just wanted a bit of advice really for where im going to stand from a credit point of view and what i should do? Im 25 and live with my partner and our two kids, were renting at the moment and i would like to get my credit score up so that one day we can buy a house (although i realise this wont be the case for over 5 years) any advice would be appreciated
Thanks,
Jake

It would be advisable to apply for a sub prime/credit builder type card. Use it regularly and pay off in full every month. Set up a full pay DD so you hacve no choice in the matter and no chance of missing a payment.
If they don't accept you, you will need to wait a little longer.0 -
Hi thanks for reply, just looked into this, put a few of my details into a soft check for cards for bad credit and i came up not eligible for any of them. I guess that time is a healer, but how much time? Is it possible that while u have a DRO or a bankruptcy on your file no one will touch you?0

Youll struggle with anything but subprime cards while its on there. May be a while before you can even get those.Still rolling rolling rolling......
