HI,

I found this company on confused.com they are very cheap but I have done a lot of searching to see what I could find out about them and it looks like they are a new company.
Has anyone got any insured with them do you think the company is legit, you here so many stories about people who think they are insured but they are not.

Don't be put off by the Gibraltar address - they'll only be based there for tax purposes.

Whether their service is any cop or not is another matter!

It certainly appears above board. http://www.groupdirect.co.uk/southernrock.php is the website for the parent company and the credentials seem ok.

Gibraltar is a tax haven and the red tape for creating insurance companies is greatly reduced over the UK. If the only thing you are looking at is price then go for it.

My dad used them just recently to insure and use my brothers car for a weekend.
He had no problems at all. He even set it all up online the night before!
I think it only cost about £10 for the weekend!

My sons first year insurance was with them - very reasonable. His renewal quote last week was a shock, a large increase even though he has the same car and no accidents.. Confused.com here we go
