Chances are, if you try and return the SIM they may not realise that the Office was discounted to add it on, and you'll have the Office for £89!

  • they are always trying to hit targets you probably should go back andsee the manager who was obviously quite sneaky selling or rather forcing you something you didnt ask for.
  • What's sneaky? The manager exchanged the wrongly bought software for the correct software (of the same value) and gave the op a freebie! Think the op should take more notice of what's happening around her.

OP hasn't been left out of pocket, sure, but the manager should have been clear about what he was doing, rather than just putting the SIM in the bag and not mentioning anything. Indeed, I'm sure for some, if he had said so, there may have been someone who said "Thanks, I didn't know you did those. But as you do, I actually need something with more data" and get a better sale from it. There's no benefit to anyone from keeping quiet about it.

OP - the previous posters are obviously wrong. Not only have you been totally conned, they will probably have sold on your personal details as well. Be prepared for mountains of spam and junk mail.
It wasn't your fault that you weren't paying attention the two separate times you visited Curry's, I reckon you're probably looking at least around £1000 compensation plus a personal apology from the company CEO.
Remember, it's NEVER your fault that you weren't listening or paying attention, its always someone else's.
