HI Guys im looking for a bit of advice. Myself and my wife ordered a new corner sofa and chair from DFS this was delivered at the end of last week.
Problem being we ordered a corner unit with 2 arms but were sent a corner unit with 1 arm and a chaise long part instead the chair is fine.
I advised the delivery guys this was not correct so they contacted the shop after that I called to speak to the salesman after looking out the paperwork he was apparently busy with a customer and would call me back!
nearly 2 hours later I called them as he had not called back to be advised that he was with another customer I was not happy at this as you could imagine I advised that the girl I was far from happy with what they called customer service so far.
After this she finally put me onto the salesman who advised that the order was supposed to have 2 arms and no chaise long part he then put me on hold to check what's happened then advised me that what we ordered was not possible as they do not do this but fully admitted that he was at fault as he told us this available.
That was the last I heard until today when I was called and advised that I was down for a call back. I advised the guy of the situation and explained that I feel we have been missold he advised me that he would be speaking to the Area Manager but we would not be offered a huge amount of money back but wanted to know what I wanted I negated to tell him and advised him to speak to the AM and come back to me. He has since done so with an Offer of £200 which I feel is totally unacceptable on a sofa that cost £2500 with insurance etc. So im looking for any advice on what I should do next?

What do you want? Do you want to return it for a refund or do you want to keep it, but with some "compensation"?0

Im looking for compensation on this as I have been missold but im looking to see what people think I should be settling for0

Sounds like you're saying that you're happy to accept the sofa despite the difference but you want to squeeze them for as much as possible.
Some people view these things as a mistake and others see them as an opportunity, which really annoys me.
There's a fine line between putting something right and becoming part of a compensation culture.0 -
That's not the case. I have been mis sold and what we ordered is not available and never has been!
They have admitted wrong doings. The other problem is if we send it back we would have no sofa until a new one is delivered which could take 3 months!!!
So in the grand scheme of things for the hassle and the cost of the sofa £2500+ a £200 compensation doesn't seem a lot to me considering they have admitted its is there mistake and that we have been missold0 -

So ask them for an amount you do feel is acceptable.0 -

Agreed. Or ask them to come collect the goods and refund you all your monies paid/cancel finance agreement (as applicable).
There aren't really any other scenarios. Personally, if I agreed to keep what was delivered I'd be looking for 20% discount (£500)0
