This has resulted, in many mixed economy societies, being the enormously rich : such that the poorest has richest beyond all reasonable expectation of say 100 years ago.
Freedom from hunger, warm homes and clothes, entertainment, freedom to travel, to change jobs, to vote for who you like, rule of law etc.
Like democracy : it's not perfect but it probably a lot better than the alternatives.
We do not have a democracy by most people's understanding or expectation. There is no party worth voting for. Money has been stolen from the masses and hoarded by the rich... the power of our paliament has been given away to Brussels, our corrupt and filthy kiddi fiddling MP's have crippled this country by allowing big business to arrange things in their favour.... These are all sick symptoms of an unchecked capitalist system.
Your view of where we are now is completely out of touch and delusioned...
PERFECT MP MAtERIAL !!! You should seriously consider running in the election you will go far.Peace.0 -

In which constituency will you be standing in the upcoming general election?0 -

It may have been unchecked 150 years ago, but there are checks today.
Indeed there are a huge number of checks.TickersPlaysPop wrote: »There is no party worth voting for.
The Communist Party of Britain still exists. It seems you would agree with much of their policies.0 -
How about reducing demand for housing which will increase supply and cause rents to fall. Controlling immigration will achieve this and also reduce GP waiting lists, demand on NHS, schools, jobs etc. Vote UKIP and out of the EU !!!!! :T0

It does. Although the Communist Party of Britain was only formed in 1988. And is different from the old CPCB (Communist Party of Great Britain) which ceased to exist in 1991, and the Communist Party of Great Britain (Provisional Central Committee) which is something else entirely.
As it happens, I don't believe that any of these perfectly respectable Marxist-Leninist organisations would touch the likes of Ticklers with a very long bargepole. They don't just let anybody become a member of the vanguard ya' know.:)0 -
UKIP does not equal the UK exiting the EU... the voting public decide that at a referendum... UKIP just reduce the length of time we need to wait for the referendum.
We need a re-negotiated deal with the EU... not necessarily an exit.
Me stand for election?.... no established party would accept me and let me go far, such as into the cabinet... why?.... because I don't have a dirty illegal secret that means I can be controlled like a puppet.
Me a communist?!.... Straw man arguments against me like that are becoming almost predictable now... is that all you guys have to come back to me? pathetic.Peace.0 -

I think you're right. No established party would accept you. (And I rather think that many of the non-established ones might have serious reservations.:))
But you have repeatedly expressed the opinion that what we need in the UK is a 'new party' that 'really represents the people'. So I rather imagined that you would be standing as a candidate for this New Party of yours.
It only costs £500 (or did last time I looked) and you wouldn't want people to think that you were just some keyboard warrior ranting around on the interweb, now would you?0 -

Why? What's wrong with being a communist?
In any case you did say that "Money has been stolen from the masses and hoarded by the rich... the power of our paliament has been given away to Brussels, our corrupt and filthy kiddi fiddling MP's have crippled this country by allowing big business to arrange things in their favour.... These are all sick symptoms of an unchecked capitalist system."
That is certainly the kind of thing that you would expect someone from the CPB or the CPGB-PCC to say, and so therefore if someone were to come along and suggest that "you would agree with much of their policies", I'd say that was fair comment.0 -
On this board 'communist' is commonly associated with negative words and associations... such as failure, suppression, suffering etc etc
So please don't assume I'm a communist.
Many people on here when they see something they don't like... they pigeon hole, assume, misquote and shot people down...
Why do you all post here?... because you want to control and suppress public opinion against landlordism... because you are all up to your neck in property investment.
So do you now want to discuss who has communist attributes?Peace.0 -

In what sense is quoting;
"Money has been stolen from the masses and hoarded by the rich... the power of our paliament has been given away to Brussels, our corrupt and filthy kiddi fiddling MP's have crippled this country by allowing big business to arrange things in their favour.... a misquote?TickersPlaysPop wrote: »...Why do you all post here?... because you want to control and suppress public opinion against landlordism... because you are all up to your neck in property investment....
Now that's what is known as the ad-hominem fallacy.TickersPlaysPop wrote: »..So do you now want to discuss who has communist attributes?
You do it seems.
The statement quoted above sounds a bit 'communist' and therefore it would be fair comment for someone to suggest that "you would agree with much of their policies". If for some reason, that comment upsets you, then it is down to you to explain exactly what you meant.
Time perhaps for you to set out the pogramme for your 'New Party'?:)0
