    Some company is giving you free money and all you have to do to keep it is let them know about it, offer to return it and wait till it's statute barred which the first lot already is... and you want to close the account? :rotfl:

    You haven't indicated what sort of amounts these payments are.

    If relatively small amounts of less than £100 pounds, then the sending company may write off the amounts as they probably feel recovery would cost more than it was worth.

    If large amounts your bank would probably have already accused you of money laundering, closed your accounts, and told you to naff off and bank elsewhere.

    Amounts vary but totals over the past 10 payments comes to over £1600.

    They know EXACTLY where their money is...they have your sort code and account number remember.


    Your other statement is true though, ie why aren't they taking the (very easy) steps necessary to recover it?
