Switching energy

I am lookin to join the money saving energy switching club but I am concerned as there's no mention about having solar panels.
At present we have dual fuel via Scottish power and we have our own privately owned solar panels which we submit reading to every three months, this has a set payment date into our bank.
If we switch energy suppliers how will this affect our running of our solar panels.?
We have a 50/50 with Scottish power meaning that we use our own electricity mainly during the day when the meter is collecting, and in the evening ie 50% we use their supplied power.

How hard is it to deal with switching and how does this affect our solar?

Your solar PV is irrelevant to the switch. You just continue giving your generation meter readings to Scottish Power when requested and receive payment as you currently do.

You can be supplied by any company you choose. It is possible to move your solar PV contract but there's absolutely no benefit as the rates is the same whoever you sell your generation to.

Switch your energy supplier at will. Your energy supply and energy generation (PV Solar) contracts are separate. I have switched energy supplier many times but EDF still pay my FITs. There is no benefit in switching your FIT payer as they all pay what they are told to pay by Government.
