Batteries cheapest?

It's not often I have to buy batteries but needing aa and aaa - where the best place (cheapest) to buy?

Pound shops have them - usually in packs of 16.0

What do you need them for? Cheap batteries are sometimes a false economy. If you need them for things that use a lot of energy, like cameras etc, you're best buying more expensive, long-lasting ones. For something like a TV remote then cheapies are fine

I would go to supermarkets- high stock turnover, so fresh(er) supply.. Uniross /Energiser brand is usually reliable.
get highest ampage you can afford, if going rechargeable ((at least 2000 mAH)Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

I needed a battery for my computer as the clock kept running slow and I kept getting error messages on there. I went to my local Mr T and they wanted well over £6.+ for a pack of two.I went to my local Kent Electrical suplliers and got exactly the same pack and brand for £2.00.Shop around if you can The expiry date on the pack is 2024 probably long after my 'puter gives up the ghost anyway:):) 0

Ikea sell batteries in packs of 10 for £1.50 and they are very good.0

Pound shops mainly sell Kodak cheap batteries in packs of 12 for £1.
As said above, these are no good for use where power applications are required.
However, they also sell a range called Kodak Xtralife in packs of 5 for £1 and these are much better.0 -
