I have not decided which deal to go with yet but I have just done a comparison with Energy Helpline in the Mail and got a big difference in figures quoted.
MSE £298 Mail EHL £400 and both with Sainsburys

Can someone explain?

The MSE offer is only available via the Energy Club. Remember, the potential savings may be inflated as they often assume a period on the supplier's standard tariff. Look carefully at the total projected costs ( based on your predicted usage in KWhs) before deciding which is the best deal for you.

Thanks Hengus but not clear on the standard tariff assumption. I have given both sites my previous energy consumption in KW, wont they both make the same assumptions?

For example: if your fixed price tariff finishes at the end of Mar, then the savings are calculated on the assumption that from 1 April you will move to your supplier's standard tariff for the 10 1/2 months of the year remaining. Your projected savings therefore might not be as much as you might think.

Use your kwh figures to calculate your costs by using the unit rates and standing charge for the fixed tariffs.

You can see that the rates/standing charges are different, as they are different products. Your rates maybe different to these, as they are using my postcode.

    Cheapenergyclub
Sainsbury's Energy Discount Fix February 2016
Gas Unit rate 3.329p per kWh
Gas Standing charge 21.000p per day
Elec Unit rate 8.977p per kWh
Elec Standing charge 21.000p per day
    Tariff ends on ? 29 Feb 2016

    From Sainsburys Energy website
    Fixed Price February 2016
Gas Unit rate 3.240p per kWh
Gas Standing charge 26.000p per day
Elec Unit rate 8.740p per kWh

Thanks again Hengus I think I understand what you are saying and that perhaps The Mail are overstating the savings, I think I will be going with MSE.

Thanks for your comments Locky . I am assuming the MSE Cheap Energy deal and the Mail Energy helpline deal are both going to Sainsburys/British Gas as the highest bidder and therefore could not understand the price difference of £100.
Or could there be two different deals here.
