Was filmed in May last year and apparently they got the investment they wanted for expansion elsewhere.

I used to order from them a lot, have only ordered once from them this year, but they were very useful to me a couple of years back when I was looking to save on food costs.0 -
I saw Approved foods on Dragons den too! It was in their daily hopeful email - they were in the program, so I tuned in to watch.
I have ordered from them once. I thought it a thrifty shop. I found ordering many packets of the same low cost item takes awhile to use.
When my packet/sauce stock gets down I may order again and see if my son will go halfs. Split say 10 packet mix etc....
Postage is to be aware of. From what I remember it is £5/6 for a large box.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
I got £120 worth of stuff for £36 which includes £5.99 p n p, so it was well worth it:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

They don't just sell crisps and sweets, I found them very useful for stuff like lentils, rice, pasta. Sometimes they do cases of products for a penny, I got loads of sharwoods thai curry pastes for a penny. I actually stopped using them so much as I had a home bargains nearby but the last time I bought from them a few weeks ago, I got a code for free delivery. I got loads of falafel mixes from the food doctor range for 10p. A lucky box as well, its hit and miss what you get in them but everything was useful.
If someone is on a budget and has a friend to split postage costs if money is really tight Id recommend approved foods.0 -
