It would help us to help you if you answered the various questions asked.
Additionally, this sounds like an HMO (House of Multiple Occupation). As such, it might need to be registered with the council. Check your local council website for their HMO criteria (different councils vary), and ring/ask if it is registered if it should be.

Since 1st October 2014, the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 S83 requires letting agents in England to sign up to one of 3 schemes:

Hi Guys,
Well the other 3 tenants are happy to leave.
We all moved in together on the same day, but I believe there contract is different to mine as their employer is paying their accommodation as they are over here on secondment.
I have asked the agency to answer my questions but they are taken an age to get back to me,0 -
Hi Guys,
Just had my contract come through and it's a Licensee agreement!! Even though the landlord doesn't live with me.
According to the law, i'm pretty sure they only need to give 1 month!
Is there anything I can do?
Also, they are apart of the Property Redress Scheme.
Any help would be great!0 -
the fact that it is called a licensee agreement doesn't make it one. Statute overides any contractual agreement. It still sounds like you have a AST. Go to CAB or ya local community law centre/ Shelter with everything and get advice. Be prepared to stand your ground or fight for exceptional compensation.0

"It all sounds like" we don't know enough to say...
It will also be difficult to get any reliable, specific advice over the phone from CAB or Shelter.0 -

Fair point jjlandlord - only a proper look at everyting can really sort this out.0

Have a look on the Shelter website. I believe there is a tenancy checker on there which should help you determine whether it is a licence or, if not, what it is.
For further guidance I'd then give Shelter a call.
What a pain for you.
