Tesco restaurant vouchers

Does anyone know if when I'm ordering tesco restaurant vouchers, can the vouchers be used at different restaurants to the one I specify when I'm ordering the vouchers or is it strictly only the restaurant you order them for.
The restaurant I want the vouchers for is over 250 miles from my home address so if I'm left with any after paying for the meal I will not be able to use them there again so am hoping I can keep the rest to use somewhere else.
I've had a look around but some people say they can be used elsewhere and some say they can't. I'm wondering if anyone has done this recently as it may have changed?

The vouchers/going out forum might be the best place to ask - this is hardly a UK Holiday!

Sorry, I thought this would be ok in UK Hols, days out and entertainment. I'll see if I can find somewhere more appropriate. The going out one says its for letting people know about deals but I'll see if there's another place I can ask. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that they can only be used in the restaurant that you specify them for eg Pizza Express can only be used in Pizza Express
I usually order a little less that I plan to spend (eg if I expected to spend £40, I would prob order £35 of vouchers and top the rest up cash)

You used to be able to use some at various restaurants but think this stopped last year. It stated quite clearly at the time of booking where they could be used. I think e.g Caf! Rouge vouchers could also be used at Bella Itallia.
