I just have a lot on all the time I love working :-) Good job too lol . Pretty poorly so need to start sorting myself out and giving myself some TLC .
Sometimes I wonder if I am mentally ill with stress and I just don't know it ? how bad is that ? Are anyone elses jobs any different ? I think everyone has stress at work and has to work vrey hard?
For me its my hours that are out of control and it is hard to keep up with. I would kill for a day off and a can of coke ...simple things and all that :-)Grocery challenge Feb £107/£100-epic fail due to cake and biscuits

Errrr Sam, this gets to be part of the problem, that you get the idea it's normal. Not everyone is stressed at work, and certainly not to the point where they can't sort regular days off. That's not sustainable.
I do understand where you're coming from, when you're really into working hard for a while it becomes your default - you forget that not being stressed to the eyeballs is actually normal and how work is supposed to be. It's taken me over a year to accept that I AM working hard enough, even if I do get to go home at a reasonable hour and don't spend all my time worrying - just because I'm working less hard than during the MSc or Great Commuting Madness Secondment doesn't mean this isn't normal, it just means those were extra difficult times.
I'm glad you love your job, but please don't let it make you ill!

Stress is mental illness, start of a long line, then anxiety, then depression, then onwards...
Avoiding such is a work life balance, you may love working but find a job you love, hobbies and interests are a great way to find work you love, mental currency is as important as cash. Why so deep in debt I went and travelled abroad, on a very tight budget (lack of council tax was another £100 per month on debts).
Be debt free, be tight but don't be miserable people - that does not mean massive shopping sprees nor does it mean no work life balance
