Thank you for your continued input.
Yes, I have had surveys done (HomeBuyer's, not structural) and have all the supporting paperwork from NHBC and the builder, confirming the quality of the rectification work etc. Aside from the actual mainstream insurers, no-one has a real problem with this history.
I have also now found three major insurers, Halifax, AXA and Legal & General, who are all willing to insure the property for the same price as it would cost without the work ever having being done. So that's a huge bonus! Though I add that this is only due to how long ago the work was done, and that nothing has re-occurred since.
Considering my originally expected insurance hasn't really changed now, I am probably going for it. Most people have told me that there's always something to stress you out when buying a house; some 'spanner in the works'! I'm beginning to fully understand this!
