Florida with OH & 3 yr DD, looking for great accomodation

Hi, my OH and I have done Disney before and loved it apart from MK, however, we did appreciate that once we have a DS/DD it would mean so much mire. That time is now and we are planning a vacation there in a couple of years when our DD is 3.

We stayed Idrive last time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves day and night. This time we need more children focused but Disney itself will be out of our price range.

Can anyone suggest an alternative to Disney for accomodation?

I too stayed at International drive and made good use of the trolley bus.
Depending on how much Disney you want you might consider Kissimee or again stay on I-Drive.
We did when we took our 3 year old - in fact if he was 2 he could get in for free so we winged it - great we thought one freebie until the gate attendant asked how old he was and he of course said he was 3 since last week - They laughed and let him in free anyway.

We took our girls several times for Thanksgiving in November when they were younger. We were once asked how old the younger daughter was. I said she would be three at Christmas..which was true. She turned three in the May but would still be three at Christmas. It worked ok.
