Best Offer. Can I make a conditional offer?

I am looking to buy an electrical item. I have found a couple on EBay. I am aware that this item (Babyliss Pro Curler) has some fakes floating around.
I want to make an offer on one which the seller says they bought and tried once (hence cannot return). Can I say that the offer is on condition that the original receipt is provided with the item? I obviously don't want to get stung if it breaks down when it should be under warranty, or that the item is stolen or a fake.
If not, I will just go and buy one from a reputable retailer at full price.
Thanks in advance.

You could ask for the receipt. Three things may happen though. 1) They will have the receipt and will send it with the item 2) They will tell you it was a gift or they lost the receipt 3) They will think you are going to be a problem buyer and block you.
Something like that I personally would either buy from a shop or if I was going to buy from Ebay, then would do so from a reputable retailer such as Tesco or Argos that happen to be on Ebay.0 -
You can ask questions before you make an offer but if you do make an offer and it's accepted then you buy it according to it's description in the listing.0
