Martin was a director of that Unlimited company, rather than a sole trader.
A sole trader is not a company.
I'm director of ABC Ltd, a limited company
I'm also director of XYZ Taxis LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership
I'm also a sole trader, DEF Taxi, a sole trader using my own name.
Not so much the last any more, just when I get time.
But a sole trade may be a company.
There is nothing that says a company has to be constituted as a limited liability company or an unlimited companyThe only thing that is constant is change.0 -

I am talking in companies house terms.
A sole trader would carry on a business in their own name.💙💛 💔0 -

Absolutely not
A sole trader can carry on a trade under any name he chooses subject to conflicts etc. Companies house has nothing to do with sole traders
As a soole trader I can carry on business as A & Co or B & Co or C & Co etc etc and Companies house won't bother me.The only thing that is constant is change.0 -
