Tracked to US?

I need to send something (a sale, but not eBay) to the US and am a bit out of touch with what's currently available - it seems to have been changing a lot recently, so I thought I'd ask here, where there is expertise.

Weight under 1.5kg, size (depending on packing) no more than 30x20x15cm, value GBP500-1k. Speed less important than security.

Any recommendations?

Try something like https://www.parcelmonkey.com or https://www.parcel2go.com They will give you a range of options based on the size and weight you put in.

Interesting; I didn't even know there were parcel comparison sites! You learn something all the time in this place.

    Thanks, mrcol1000.

Check the insurance exclusions carefully for each carrier. You will find that a lot of items are excluded.

We use FedEx for the USA, as we have an account with them which is cheaper than Royal Mail Tracked.
    Also try Interparcel.com

I use Interparcel for deliveries outside the EU. I send all items tracked and fully insured. So far not had any issues, very fast and professional service. Royal Mail parcel service (parcelforce) always comes in at virtually double the price.

Oh dear. Went for Parcelmonkey and they didn't collect. Their 'collection day' runs till 6pm but their support desk was only open till 5pm, so I'm waiting to hear what they're doing about it.
