Paying VED/Tax by DD

Renewal due end of this month. If I sign up for the DD option - is it like TV license in that you pay 6mths up front and then monthly payments? - or do you get to just pay the DD like a 'pay-as-you-go'

It depends which DD option you choose but, essentially its pay-as-you-go.

They just confuse things a little by offering monthly, 6-monthly or 12-monthly direct debits. If you want to pay monthly then make sure you choose that option or the first debit will be for 6 or 12 months worth ;)

Oh, and don't be worried if you check after setting it up and it shows you as untaxed. For some reason it takes then about 3 - 5 days to update n this computer age!
  • I'm more bothered by the fact you pay a TV licence?!
