Work done in house - log burner installation unhappy with work - what next?

Options
Hi all,

sorry to pick your brains again (hopeful for some assistance).
I am in the process of having a log burner installed in my house. The first part of the work has not gone as well as i hoped. The fireplace has been covered around the interior with a fire proof board. The board has been cut and installed badly, leaving a noticeable join (noticable from the other side of the room and chipped). I didnt notice it on the day, and paid for the stage of the work. I have since emailed the company and said i am unhappy with the level of finish and would like them to see what they can do, they said wont do anything, They are to return on tuesday for the next stage of work.

So, my question is, what rights do i have!? I expect them to rectify the problem, but so far they seem unwilling to do so.

Thanks, Kay
