I'm two weeks away from being made redundant  and I'd like some advice on what I should do about my car and house insurance policies?
Does anyone have knowledge of whether my premiums might increase or decrease due to being unemployed?

Car. IME.
Unemployed they tend to go up.

Depends if you can be bothered to tell them.
Some insurers (Direct Line & The Co-Op spring to mind) will not up the price if you are unemployed.Never Knowingly Understood.
