Playing mp3s in the car

I have a basic car radio/CD player that doesn't play mp3s. Would one of these work with my Walkman? It says it plays from USB or SD card (so I could transfer onto one of those) otherwise. Is this the best way to play mp3s (other than replacing my radio unit)?

£30 will easily get you a used car player that does play mp3s, and it will work far better than this gadget will.
More than £30 will get a still better player0 -
I'd maybe try a cheaper version to see if you get on with the idea, perhaps -

Slightly OT, but you've prompted me to buy an FM transmitter to use my iPod in the car; tesco are selling them off.0

I spent a bit extra and bought an xcarlink (other similar products are available)0
