Lay Z Spa mildew/mould

Hi All
I have a Lay z spa which has been in storage for a good while.
Between the damp created by garage storage and conditions when in use, i now have a fairly disgusting cover/surround, covered with damp smelling mildew and mould.
Can anyone who has dealt with this help with a "how to" !?
I dont want to score or damage the plastics used in the inflatable tub and cover so need to be careful, but it is going to need elbow grease!
Any assistance appreciated.
