i had never heard of ASB. like others, im not sure about paying the monthly fee. i agree it isn't a lot of money, but with Halifax Rewards you could be receiving rather than paying £5 each month. that's a whole £120/yr swing;)
my first thought would also be Building Societies, if you are looking beyond the main clearing banks. Nationwide, Coventry and Cumberland all spring to mind. i am a member of all three. i have had a current account with Nationwide, which was ok, but recently moved away for the Yorkshire incentive, with my 5% deal coming to an end.. the other two would be interesting.
and secondly, i thought you already had an account with a bank that you are happy with, with a branch in The Smoke that you can reach, and that doesn't charge a fee;)
Yes this was before I found out about the branch in the smoke. I made an exception for that branch because no sod knows anything about it.:rotfl:0
