Thomson web price v shop price

I have a holiday booked with Thomson for this summer and have paid £900 deposit. Unfortunately, we've just got my daughter's exam dates through and so need to change our holiday or move it back by a week.
Thomson have said that we can transfer our deposit over to another holiday and have to pay £50pp admin fee. Fair enough, completely understand that.
The problem is, I've looked on the website and to travel the week after we have booked, the price is £2800. However, the shop will not match this and are saying that on their system it is £3600 :shocked: Apparently the web prices are only for new bookings and for 'change' bookings, they can only use the Thomson system.
Does anyone know if this is right? I've contacted Thomson head office and they just keep referring me back to the Thomson shop :mad: It seems that changing my holiday will not simply cost me £150 (£50 admin fee x 3 people), it will actually cost me £950 because of the difference in prices.
I can't seem to find any details anywhere of their web price match policy, but neither can I find anywhere stating the web prices are only for 'new' bookings.
