Can I get a 0% credit card?

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place but was looking for advice about whether I would be eligible for a 0% credit card or what is the best thing to in my situation.

I have a debt of about £700 on a credit card and Im paying off at £70 per month and Im paying interest on it so it is going down very slowly. Ive stopped spending on it even though they recently upped the limit on it.

I want to get a 0% card so that I can pay the debt off quicker but because I am now a full time carer and no longer in employment I dont want to apply for a card because I dont meet the usual £20k per year requirement. I did the calculater and although a few 90% chances came up they all had this requirement.

My partner is employed and earns over that level. Is there anything I can do? If we get a joint credit card can I still transfer a balance in my name?

Any advice would be appreciated.

there are no 'joint' credit cards
however, in general if your partner can get a 0%BT card then he can transfer your balance to his card
most CC only need the 16 digit CC number and don't care what the names are
make sure the card comes from a different bank from yours.

How long ago did they up your rate? If it was recently, you can refuse the rate increase and pay at current APR. Naturally, you won't be able to use the card again.

They upped the limit, not the rate.
