Sorry, I did not mean to sound dramatic.

I'm not sure if they're still a thing but do you have a career's guidance centre anywhere close by?
There was one in our area - not sure if it is still there as we're going back a while - but they used to provide advice and guidance to people who were looking to find work, including those with severe disabilities and learning difficulties. If there is one, might be an idea to make an appointment, if only because they may know of programmes to help you?
The local jobcentre may also offer some sort of programme to help you but I don't know if you have to be claiming benefits to get on them. I believe there's a few programmes available. I know our company took on a temp through the local office who had some speech difficulties as part of a "pathway back to work" initiative.0 -
Another idea, more of a short-term thing, but have you considered writing a blog about your experiences?
I suggest this because I understand that with speech difficulties you may find sometimes that you have a lot of feelings that you can't vocalise and you may find it cathartic to get them out there. You may also find that you can raise awareness of your situation and believe it or not but it might open new job opportunities for you. You can monetise a blog through advertising (obviously this is dependent on audience size) but there's a fair few success stories out there of people who have started writing blogs who have been recruited by a number of different companies and in different industries.
Of course, it doesn't necessarily equate to not having a desk job but while you're doing this, maybe you can start bringing in a small income to buy more time for you to consider your options and your future. Maybe even use it to finance starting your own business, perhaps crafting goods to sell, or something?
Sorry if this doesn't sound useful to you but it was a thought I had.0 -

Thanks Tropez I might do that a good idea, I have the money to fund something, I just cannot thing of what.:rotfl: The more I use for funds the less I can pay the bills however so it would have to be something which is likely to make a return, I will have to think what could this be.
thank you.0 -
Are you claiming esa or any other benefits?
If you are, is there not someone from the job centre who might be able to steer you into suitable employment or training.
I hope life improves for you very soon.0
