in Credit cards
Hi there
Apologies if this is a regular question that is asked over and over.
I need to purchase flights to Australia for November while the price is down. If I put the flights on my existing credit card which already has a £1000 balance with a £6000 limit, can I then open a new card and transfer the existing balance plus flight costs to take advantage of the the zero interest for 30 months?
Thanks anyone whose in the know :T

Yes you can do assuming you can get a BT card - though with the fee involved, it may be worth a look at 0% purchase cards.
Banks will look at your salary, current debts and available credit to decide what limit to give you, if they would give you a card at all so to whether you are going to get a BT card with sufficient credit to cover the flights we couldn't guessSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

For the flight it might make more sense to get a CC with 0% on purchases and pay by it. Why pay the BT fee?Dandelion57 wrote: ».... However, whatever credit card you use you are likely to get charged extra for paying by a CC.0 -

Malaysia Airlines I've found to be very cheap, although never flown with them so no idea on quality. Until last year they had an unblemished safety record, but it's up to you to take into consideration recent events.
It's also worth remembering that you can mix/match Quantas and Emirates to see what's cheaper. Qantas isn't necessarily cheapest from LHR to DXB, but may be from DXB to SYD.
Similarly, a mix of BA and Singapore Airlines may be cheaper than just BA, via a diferent transit point obviously.💙💛 💔0
