Viewing first property as a buyer

It's annoying but at the end of the day if prices have moved upwards and there's now nothing else as good at the same as you were paying then you could perhaps agree to meet in the middle, or accept the 3k extra. You might be able to haggle it back if the mortgage valuation comes in lower, or if you get a structural survey done and find something needing work? That would serve them right.0

I just don't understand how a buyer could do something like that. It honestly would never occur to me. Even though house prices have risen yet again since our buyer offered, it would feel so immoral or unethical to do that. Or to drop our buyer and re-market the house at a higher price which was suggested by other EAs.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Latest update on my first time buying saga.
The original flat has now been removed from the market. The sellers didn't even wait until we had decided to offer the £3k or not. They just pulled out completely and wasted my time and money and the estate agents too. Idiot sellers !
So we have spent the last week or so trying to find somewhere else and have moved locations too. We found a couple of places to view on Wednesday but only got a chance to view today. One place already went to offer yesterday so only saw 1 today. Turns out to be the best place we've seen. Made an offer on it and it's been accepted. Spoke to seller a lot this time as opposed to the first place and feel we've got a good one now. They are buying new build so there is no chain and they accepted out offer straight away.
Fingers crossed the survey goes ahead quick and finds nothing to report.
edit: Firm believer in everything happens for a reason and I am now glad the first place fell through. I hope they can never sell for being such complete buttwipes.0 -

I agree, it has always happened that way to us, even though it is upsetting at the time. Good luck!0
