Thanks both, I don't see why they can't be issued with ID and your absolutely correct if someone calls at your door on a day your expecting a collection, introduces themselves as Yodel, say they are there to pick up x parcel(s) plus you also watch them make a delivery to a closeby neighbour why wouldn't you think they are genuine. Trouble is they never delivered the parcels and I'm in dispute so trying to gather examples.0

How would they know you had a parcel that you'd had booked for a collection?Come on you Irons0

At least if they had some form of ID, this name could be quoted if the item was lost and Yodel denied liability.
At present, all you could do is to give a rough description and if the driver denied collecting the goods, what else can you do?
If you were able to state the name of the driver, this would at least give a good indication that they did actually visit your property.0 -

It would be extremely easy for a driver to tell a mate an address they are collecting from, so the mate gets there first. Or someone working in the office staff to do the same. Or even the driver to turn up, collect the parcel and never pass it on.
I've never sent anything with Yodel, but find it hard to believe they don't have any form of tracking receipt to pass onto the customer. Otherwise they are just inviting fraud.0 -

Who says that the OP is the customer? If they are returning something then the supplier has the contract with Yodel, it's their risk surely?0
