Data protection question

Options
Sorry if I have posted in the wrong area, wasn't sure where to place it.

The question is- if I buy materials from a company that supplies my trade can a competitor ring the company and ask for my companies history of transactions?

Is it covered by data protection at all?

Thanks

Data Protection applies to information about living individuals who can be identified from the data.

Business to business trading is unlikely to fall within that category. It may be bad business practice however - but you need to check the T&Cs of the company you are dealing with.
  • Thank you for that reply Tony appreciate your time.
