faulty heater after 2 & half months

Options
I bought an electric heater from wilkinsons at the end of November last year, i still have the receipt and box for it. This week the switch which controls the power output of it has stopped working and it now only works on the lowest setting.
If i return it to the wilkinsons store i bought it from, can i get it exchanged for a working one or if they no longer stock it, get my money back? I think 2 and a half months is atrocious and I really need a heater at this time of the year!
Any help on my rights would be appreciated as I hope to take it back tomorrow.

All the information you need is in MSE's Consumer Rights guide.

But simply, they can choose to provide either a replacement, repair or refund.
You can express a preference, but you cannot insist on a disproportionate remedy.
