Hi All..
I am hoping to open a new savings account with a different bank from my current account and am struggling to find a provider that will allow me to access a mobile banking app as a savings only customer..
Please does anyone know of one?

The best "savings" accounts these days are interest paying current accounts as they are paying better interest than any other accounts. They all come with mobile apps, so problem solved.0

You need to have a current account to have mobile banking. You could open both current and savings account, then set up mobile banking, then close the current account. If I am not wrong, Halifax allows it, however I'd stay away from Halifax.0

That's two not-so-brilliant choices, and an irrational suggestion to boot - opening a current account in order to close it, and keeping money in a savings account when interest-paying current accounts pay more than savings accounts. If you do open a current account that you don't need, the last thing you want to do is close it unless it is involved in a switch that you get paid for.
What reasons do you have to stay away from Halifax, and why should the OP stay away from Halifax? We know literally nothing about their requirements so can't possibly say Halifax wouldn't be an option for them.0 -
Sadly, Colsten, you're only half right.. All savings accounts I've looked at DO come with mobile banking apps, such as Natwest's, but none of them that I can find will allow me, as a savings only customer, to access them unless I also hold a current Account with them, so problem NOT solved yet, but Thanks for trying!0

Which bits in the post by Colsten were not suitable for you?
TSB 5% interest beats any savings account and has a very good app.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
