Large balance transfer card?

Hi there.

Just wondered if anybody knew of any 0% balance transfer cards which take a high balance to be transferred?

Ive got a Halifax credit card where the outstanding balance is £11,000 - the interest is killing me as I had to withdraw cash on this card and I just don't seem to be making any progress on the payments (Balance was originally £14,000 so ive chipped some away)

Does anybody know of cards where I can transfer such a large balance? Don't want to start applying as I don't want to mess up my credit score

Your limit depends on your debt, income and other factors.

But you don't need to transfer it all to one card. You just need to transfer as much as you can.

If you post some details, we may be able to give you some pointers.

Fluid by MBNA 29 months 0% for 4% fee for money transfers to current account or 3% for balance transfers. Or MBNA 24 months at 1.9% money transfers to current account 31 months 0% balance transfers. Both are known to give large credit limits. (VIRGIN by MBNA) is good but it seems to be updating at the moment. I believe VERY soon Virgin will be moving away from MBNA as standalone bank. You cannot do balance transfers between MBNA accounts, but again, they do give high credit limits. Good luck! YOU can do the eligibility checker on this site also, to give an indication of your chance of acceptance without leaving a credit application footprint on your creditable that lenders would see.

Even if this card with £14K+ limit is you only available credit, you need ~£50K+ salary to realistically hope to get accepted for another card with £11K+ limit.

Barclaycard have 35 months balance transfer offer on! Although I know they have given high limits before it does depend on your credit rating etc.
Transferring as much as possible would help you out as credit cards reconcile the payment to the highest interest on the card :)

Probably worth seeing what cards you're matched to on here first so you don't get turned down as loads of applications in a short time affect your credit score!

    Hope that helps
