I'm 3 days into 5 weeks off school.

I was full of good intentions - decorate the hall, catch up on loads of college work.

What have I actually done so far - nothing but sit here :o
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

So do I but the DJ's on there now were the 'Hip' guys on Radio 1 Years ago. I can remember being on a building site and everyone stopped to listen to 'Our tune'. Showing my age but 'Batsey' is on classic FM now:rotfl:

I remember the FIRST day of Radio 1 - with Tony BLACKBURN   (I think he's been prematurely embalmed now  ).
Personally, had it not been for the Jeremy Vine show, I would never have discovered MSE.
Also I like Steve Wright in the Afternoon - not too keen on that 'ginger' bloke though (Chris Evans for the uninitiated :D ).

My best mate and I used to go up to the Radio One studios when we were 14/15 and sit outside, I'd be waiting for Bruno Brookes to appear and my mate would be waiting for Mike Smith. We were up there so often that eventually the concierge asked if we wanted to go into the studios. We sat in with Bruno Brookes while he was doing his show and he even let us say hello on air! Janice Long was in the studio next door applying make up....I'd always wondered why considering she was about to go on the radio!!

We met Steve Wright, he was really lovely and John Peel who was quite rude at the time. But I didn't blame him, I'd get p*ssed off with a couple of teenage girls constantly blocking the doorway!
