Is it worth getting funds out of Santander? They now say they need 8 billion to keep the doors open?
I hear 30% of UK deposits are being withdrawn, if that goes up at what point will they close the doors and not let account holders withdraw their funds?

Unless you can provide something to substantiate it.
I think you'd spot a few queues if it was 30%, I'm sure that's less than B&B/Northern Rock lostRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
I saw Mary Poppins once. They mentioned a run on the bank. It all seemed to work out fine by the end of the film.

Here is the more recent news from this week about Santander UK increasing its profits by several hundred million while the overall group increased profits by almost a third to almost 10 billion.

The first two posters are simply spreading paranoid rubbish misheard at the rumour mill- although perhaps I am doing the second poster a ddisservice and they were being sarcastic.
I am not too concerned about my [less than £85k] at Santander.0 -
