Dart Charge query

We travelled over the Dartford Crossing last Saturday and, due to a plethora of family lurgies, completely forgot to pay the charge!!!!
Are we now going to be charged the penalty now or is there another opportunity to pay?
I read something about Dart Charge allowing a further 14 days to pay but I don't know if that still applies.
Can anyone advise, please?
Thank you

And whilst you wait for an answer, you could be making the payment.
I don't know the full answer, however the sooner it is paid the less liability.0 -
Put "dart charge" into a search engine and the .GOV website will reveal all.0

You had until Midnight the next day to pay the charge.
You will have to pay the fine now."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -

Not such a great idea for a money saving site.
If you're going to the bother of registering in advance then you might as well do it on the genuine Dartford crossing site and get the full benefit of the reduction in the toll charge.
Use Dartsave (third party site) and pay £2.50, register directly with Dartcharge and pay £1.66Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Whilst on subject of Dartford crossing; How's it work for motorbikes now? I know we're free to cross, but do we have to register at all?0

Maybe the best money-saving idea is to paint mud all over the number plates making them unreadable while you cross. Maybe there is some sticky, spray-on stuff you can get??0

Or sign up on the genuine Dart Charge web site https://www.gov.uk/pay-dartford-crossing-charge and set up a direct debit. That way you pay less than the standard fee, it's taken out of your Dart charge account automatically, and when you run out of money in your Dart Charge account, they just top it up from your bank.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
I had to call them last week and was advised that thete is a moratorium on fines until the roadworks are finalised and they haven't issued sny fines yet.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
