I pad notes app not working

The notes app on my Ipad 2 has started malfunctioning, it opens the appox 2 seconds later it closes leaving me unable to access my notes.
You cannot delete and reinstall this app because it is embedded within the system. Has anyone else hade this problem? Did you ever get it sorted? Apple are useless in responding to my help emails.

Apple don't have email support? Unless you're emailing someone high up directly?

Try going to settings -> icloud and sign out/delete account

Then try the notes again, if they're still not working then you'll have to get a PC and factory restore the ipad.

If they so work try signing back into icloud, if they stop working again you have corrupt data in icloud.

Have you reset the damn thing?
Usually this sorts out software glitches.

Have you tried fully closing the app down by double-clicking on the Home button to bring up the list of running apps, then swipe up on the Notes app?

I have done an IPad reset, no joy
The notes app is embedded so it cannot be removed.
I have never signed up to iCloud so can't see the connection there.

I have tried the iCloud fix by following advice from a member of the IPad forums who explained in detail how this is achieved. Not having signed up to iCloud it was a bit of a mystery on why this should work but it did.
