Vodafone default - not my fault again!!!!

I am currently having issues with Vodafone

I am disgusted at how they can treat people and I have all the evidence.

I took a deal out with phones4u 5 years ago , over the phone cold call but received the wrong deal through. I sent it back next day

Received a bill a month later and called them to say i sent it back and they told me to visit a store but couldn't as its miles from me. I was just being dumped by the adviser who couldnt fix my query as it should have been fixed over phone. Anyway never heard anything since

did my credit check recently and noticed £127 default from vodafone.

Called a adviser Ross interaction id in01352763653 who wiped out the debt and apoligised for the trouble and advised me the default would be removed. Week went past still nothing apart from a settled indicator on the default.

Spoke to 2 managers on different days and they confirmed it would be removed and put in the request again. I waited longer for it to be removed. I also wrote to vodafone with no email or letter back.

I called again and spoke to a manager and she said she had no conformation that they received the phone 5 years ago through phones4u. The deal was sent back and never used hence they wiped it.
Phones4u is now bust as I tried to call and the manager at vodafone would not except a old tracking number I had.

Vodafone cant even tell me a telephone number or what deal was sent. I have been told they will remove it but they told experian that it will remain on my file because they have no evidence where the phone was sent. They cant even tell me when it was sent to me or anything about it as it was sent to phones4u.

The default is causing my family much distress and financial loss as we cant move home. I spent 4 hours on the live chat to gain evidence. I was transferred 10 times on the chat and then I was ignored. I have a copy of the transcript and being ignored.

I have totally been ignored by Vodafone and need serious help. I have raised the issue with the communications ombudsman and the information commissioner but I have lost out in a house I put an offer in for.

I am so mad as I have been told 3 times that it was being removed and experian tells me different because I raised the dispute through them also. I am amazed at how they can get away with ruining peoples life's. My family and wife are distressed and I have lost out in my dream home as my current mortgage company would not entertain me due to this default which is 5 years old.

Please , any advice I would be greatfull as tried to use the vodafone cust rep from my last post on here but failing to get back to me and being ignored again :(

I have a few bits of advice for you: -

    1) Never apply for a mortgage without checking all three of your credit files in plenty of time ever again. This will allow you time to correct any errors and you might not miss out on your dream home.
    2) The airtime contract with Vodafone is nothing to do with the handset nor is it really anything to do with phones 4 u. Did you contact Vodafone at any time to cancel? Your post doesn't suggest you did. If you didn't confact Vodafone to cancel then it's arguable that they don't have to remove the default.
    3) Being mad at the companies won't get you anywhere. You should complain to Vodafone in writing and request a written response with a final decision as to how to handle your complaint, and ask them to provide you with details of the relevant ombudsman should you not be happy with the outcome.
    What will your verse be?
