We own a flat and have informed the management company that we do not live there and have asked for any correspondence to be sent to our home address.

Having just visited the flat we have received 6 letters from the freeholder / solicitor demanding payment for the ground rent. Should the management company have informed the freeholder of our contact details?

We have been charged a late fee due to this.

The Management Company collects the Sevice charge?

The freeholder collects the ground rent?

If different charges = different people you should have advised both.

Freeholder changed a year or so ago and we've had no contact.

Any more relevant information you'd like to drip feed?

You have not yet clarified whether

    * the two charges are collected together or seperately
    * you notified the freeholder (previous or current) of the change of address
