A monitor arm for a 50mm desk

My desk top is 50mm thick. I'm looking for a monitor arm as i'd prefer to have it raised up off the desk.

Bought one recently, an Ergotron one for £92 but it just wont manage 50mm. The tech data on it never stated its limits in this area either.

Can anyone recommend one, similar price bracket that can handle this thickness of desk?

Plenty on eBay, you just need to look for one that bolts thru the desk, you will struggle to get something with that big a clamp throat.

Any particular reason why you want an arm versus a stand?
  • I'd prefer not to have something bolting through my desk to be honest.

Also it's on a stand right now. I'd rather it be raised up off the desk.

This is my desk: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80214158/ although the drawers are on the left side for me.

I want my monitor in the far left corner but as you can see the clamp can't clamp up right in the corner at that side as the drawers are there, so it'd need to come in a good amount & then swing back out.

I bought on of those a few years back

and it fits 50mm desks easily. The pictures don't show the whole bracket. You'll need enough space underneath the desk top for the bracket and the screw. They're available for one monitor too.
